Built with purpose
I love the gospel.
My goal is to empower you to focus on just that. To preach Christ on the cross, to show the love of God to everyone.
Church leaders often resist technology, and for good reason. Church software is notorious for being hard to use.
Plus, it's often too expensive for smaller churches.
Is ChurchKoala the best solution?
I built this platform for church planters. For pastors with a tiny budget who want to make God known.
That means two things need to be true:
- Your church software should be easy to use
- Your church software should be affordable
If these things are true for you, ChurchKoala might be the best solution. Most alternatives market a hundred half-baked features at an inflated price. Churches need focused, clean features without breaking the bank.
Why is ChurchKoala so easy to use?
I've served as a church leader in many ways. I've also designed software for hundreds of millions of users.
I have deep knowledge of how the church functions. I personally know dozens of pastors. I know what their pain points are and how to solve them.
Why is ChurchKoala so affordable?
A better question: why is so much church management software so expensive?
- They require a large team of designers, engineers, marketers, etc.
- Their main goal is to turn a profit.
Having been exposed to the existing tools on the market, it's clear that many of these solutions aren't really gospel-focused. I've heard stories where marketing teams would keep pressuring pastors if they didn't become customers.
Pastors shouldn't have to deal with this nonsense.
Compare that to ChurchKoala.
- A team of one
- Gospel-driven
God has blessed me with a unique mix of expertise that allows me to create software that's easy to use. With decades of experience, I can joyfully craft something useful for every gospel-centered church.

If you can afford a couple of coffees a month, you can afford ChurchKoala. If you have any problems, I've created a helpful assistant to guide you. Plus, it's set up to forward any feature requests straight to me.
We're early
Does ChurchKoala have fewer features? Maybe.
Here's the uncomfortable truth: a lot of platforms build features to collect checkmarks on a features grid. But more checkboxes don't make a church healthier, and they rarely make the software easier to use.
In my experience designing products used by hundreds of millions of people, the pattern is almost always the same: a small number of features do nearly all the work, and the rest mostly adds confusion, cost, and maintenance.
Church software is no different. Most features in a typical platform aren't needed by most churches. They exist to fill a comparison table, not to help you on a Tuesday afternoon.
My strategy with ChurchKoala is simple: focus on high-impact features, and make them incredibly simple and incredibly useful.
How is ChurchKoala better?
I focus on the tools churches actually use every week and try to make each one the best version possible. As a church leader, you're likely focused on things like:
- Knowing and caring for the people in your church
- Communicating clearly with your congregation
- Building a website that helps newcomers take a first step
You have real things to do, so I'm here to build something to help you.
Honest about where we are
We're early. There are features other platforms have that we don't yet, and we're upfront about that on our comparison pages. What we won't do is add bloat just to look complete.
Curious about ChurchKoala? Give it a try. I would love to hear what feels helpful, what feels missing, and what would make it better for your church.
